Elektroniktidningen (“The Electronics Magazine”) recently announced that long-standing team members Jan Tångring and Per Henricsson will retire after this summer, with Veijo Ojanperä set to take over responsibility for the Swedish website from August.
Ojanperä is already well known across Finland’s electronics industry, having run a Finnish electronics website for several years as well as organising an embedded conference. He is also editor of the Finnish version of ETN, which was originally formed through a joint venture with Elektroniktidningen. He speaks Swedish, which supports continuity for Elektroniktidningen’s Swedish audience and commercial partners.
The announcement from Elektroniktidningen said two printed issues will be published in the autumn, while the website and newsletter will carry on as usual. Advertisers and partners are encouraged to continue sending material and press releases to the existing editorial and advertising contacts.
In the near term, Tångring and Henricsson will still be involved behind the scenes to support Ojanperä when needed to ensure consistency and continuation of reporting on engineering, new technology, semiconductors, components, and electronics business news across Sweden and the Nordic region.
We wish Jan and Per the very best in retirement and Veijo every success as he takes on Elektroniktidningen.
