PHilips Semiconductors has decided to call itself NXP (standing for Next eXPerience), a move that almost makes us wish for the days when companies were named using “made-up words” like Infineon. Interestingly the Dutch heritage of the company doesn’t appear to be a problem, because although they have secured www.nxp.com, www.nxp.nl is already owned by a Dutch design company.
