Electronic Design Europe will switch from its current PDF format to a “flip book” design based upon the Zmags platform. The first issue in the new format will be September 2010.
Although the switch to a prettier layout may seem logical, I’ve seen figures suggesting that the current PDF version has one of the best open rates in the European electronics industry. Whilst I’m sure that a large part of the reason for this is the great editorial and the layout that has been specifically designed for on-screen reading, tt will be interesting to see how the switch to the new format works out.
