Yesterday SupplyFrame, Inc. acquired FindChips.com. This acquisition is an interesting move, taking SupplyFrame from providing information about products to providing inventory information, which means that they will be even better placed to reach buyers as well as engineers.
FindChips was started 12 years ago by a scientist at NASA, and has a strong user base. The announcement claims over 100,000 unique visitors per month, which is certainly impressive statistics.
I’m glad that SupplyFrame is expanding their business. Although the site is extremely effective in driving relevant traffic, as an engineer I’d like to see much more original content on the site. I think that the acquisition of FindChips.com goes some way to addressing this concern, providing high-value information in a very easily accessible way.
