selezione di elettronica has announced the launch of a new event that focusses on electronic technologies for healthcare. The event will be held in Milano, Italy at the Centro Congressi Palazzo delle Stelline during June 2011 and feature a plenary session and technical workshops. The event is being held in collaboration with Farnell Italy.
The focus of the event is to provide deep insights into medical electronics, and will feature presentations by Universities and research centres. Some of the topics that will be addressed include home medical systems;
medical imaging; as well as diagnostic, monitoring and therapeutic devices.
In addition to the event, a new digital publication covering medical technology will also be launched. Smart Medical, an online flip magazine, will be hosted on the ElettronicaNews website. The new publication will feature market data, information about new technologies, case studies and new products.
Clearly the medical electronics market will continue to grow in importance over the next few years, and combining the launch of the conference with the new publication shows considerable investment from Gruppo24Ore, the publishers of selezione di elettronica. With digital distribution reducing the costs of publishing, I’m sure that we will see many other publishers taking a similar vertical market approach to the launch of new titles.
