Selezione di Elettronica has launched their Innovation Awards, which aims to showcase the most innovative electronic and microelectronic devices. Covering components, systems, equipments and software, the shortlists for each category will be selected by the editorial staff. There will then be a public vote on the publication’s website, www.elettronicanews.it, although the actual winners will be chosen by a judging panel. Product categories include Connectors & Emech, Visualization, Embedded Systems, SoC & Fpga, Analog & Power IC, Digital IC, Opto & Led, Passives Components, Integrated Sensors, Power Systems, Software & Tools, and T&M Instruments. There will also be a special award for the Best Innovation of 2011, and all winners will be announced at the Innovation Award Gala on September 29th.
The Innovation Awards key sponsor is Farnell, although other Italian distributors are cooperating in the project.
