Despite the difficult of attracting British engineers to shows and events, people keep trying to launch shows in the UK. The latest is Findlay Media, who have announced that the Engineering Design Show will be held on 10th to 11th October at the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
This event, however, is a little different as it targets a broad engineering audience, and will appeal to readers of Findlay Media’s Eureka, New Electronics and Automotive Design titles. Could this be the secret to attracting a large number of visitors, or will the lack of focus deter potential exhibitors? Well, the floor plan is already looking pretty good, so it seems that exhibitors like the concept.
I really hope this show is successful. I really like the idea of a broad engineering show, rather than trying to do another embedded event in the UK, and perhaps this will turn out to be the secret formula for strong events in the UK.
