The organisers of the Device Developers’ Conference have announced that more than 280 engineers, computer scientists and developers attended the Conference in 2014, an increase of 65% over the previous year. Whilst large shows really struggle in the UK, it seems that there is still an appetite amongst engineers to attend these smaller, focussed events. With over 30 companies sponsoring the Device Developers’ Conference, there was certainly a lot for visitors to learn.

This year the Conference took place in Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester and Scotland, with Scotland a new location for 2014. I’ll be interested to see if the attendance can continue this impressive growth in future years.
