Following the success of the recent Electronic Component Show (ECS) in Oxford, which saw nearly double the number of visitors from last year’s iteration, ECS has announced two shows for its 2024 schedule.

Having taken place on Thursday 25th May in Oxford, ECS 2023 attracted nearly double the visitors compared to the previous year’s show. Featuring 60+ exhibitors, the event provided design engineers and supply chain professionals with the opportunity to meet current, new or alternative suppliers.

Growing visitor numbers and more demand for exhibitor spaces than are available will see the launch of the Electronic Component Show in Duxford, which will take place on Thursday 23rd May 2024 at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambridge. This will run in addition to the Electronic Component Show in Oxford, which will take place on Thursday 19th September 2024 at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford.

Electronics Sourcing’s publisher, Mark Leary, said: “When looking at the geographical locations of readers we have two notable regions located within two hours drive of Cambridge and Oxford. Post-show feedback from visitors and exhibitors proves they like the one-day format and the ECS team has already started work planning the two events for 2024 to ensure we provide the best one-day shows for the industry.”

It’s great to see ECS expanding its reach, and it’s safe to say our Managing Director Mike is happy to see the show coming to Duxford, as it is based in East Anglia where he grew up. The aircraft museum also provides an excellent location for the show with many interesting planes to look at.
