Svetlana Josifovska – who previously was editor of Electronics World – has been appointed as Managing Director of 11 titles within Highbury Business, adding titles such as Drives & Controls, Electrical Review and Electrical Times. As an editor we respect, we’d like to congratulate her on this new role.

If this wasn’t enough, Svetlana is aiming to change the image of Electronics World to make it more appealing to younger engineers, and also to move away from being seen purely as a “hobbyist” title. In addition to developing the editorial style there is also a new look to the magazine. We currently don’t have a UK newstand title that represents electronics engineers, so it will be interesting to see if Electronics World can persuade the industry to part with money for a magazine.
