CMP has acquired the internet company TechOnLine, the enthusiastic filler of many engineer’s inboxes with their many emails promoting a wide range of seminars, training and educational material. This has to be a good move for TechOnLine, allowing them to have the promotion and support of a large publishing company. It’s questionable, however, how big an impact the acquisition will have in Europe as the uptake of online seminars is still limited amongst European engineers.
