At a time when some publishers have moved away from certifying their circulation (TechInsights being the best example), it is good to see other publishers continuing a commitment to have their circulation audited. Elettronica Oggi has got a new certificate from Bureau Veritas. OK, so maybe it’s not quite as good as a BPA audit, but from my point of view I think it is great that publishers are still prepared to invest the money in proving the quality of their circulation.

Obvioulsy I’m directly involved in this matter, but I want to underline some important tips:
– Elettronica Oggi has once again been confirmed as “the first” and “only” magazine in Italy to audit the quality of its circulation
– Really I do not understand why you, Mike, say: “so maybe it’s not quite as good as a BPA audit…”
– If a reader or an investor want to read BPA certification, it is a very complex matter, time and mind consuming… note that I say this recognizing the full value of BPA statements.
– Today people want sure, clear information at a glance: there’s no time to spend for complicate matters…. That’s the reason we have made this “simple to read, clear to understand” certification with Bureau Veritas: all the information is clearly written in “one page certificate”. If the investor wants, we have also a folder with a dozen of pages in wich you can find criteria and other information about the metodology of certification.
– I underline that Bureau Veritas is one of the leading worldwide organisations that assesses the risk linked to quality, with professional members of staff dedicated to assessing conformity and certification in QHSE-SA circles for all market sectors, both public and private, from the industry to services.
Even more so in a period of crisis like the one we are currently caught up in, in which, as I see it, our advertisers should be given solid certainties, not just volatile chit-chat. Knowing that the magazine is being run in accordance with the target readers as claimed by the publisher though not declared by the editor himself – as, unfortunately, is usually the case expecially in Italy – but by a third influential and independent party, is, as I see it, the best answer there is for anyone who is still undecided about which magazines they should be using to get their message across and invest their advertising budgets in.
Many thanks for the attention and waiting if someone want to participate to this discussion.
