I’m frequently asked to set objectives or benchmark campaigns for clients, and increasingly the questions are about social media. What is a “good” number of fans or followers? Will I get retweeted? Am I doing better or worse than competitors?
I realised that there is a need for accurate information to allow clients to make judgements about their campaigns, and launched a Napier research project to find out the answers to some of these questions for Twitter campaigns. We didn’t just look at raw numbers of followers, but measured engagement by analysing retweets and even the click through rates that campaigns achieve.
The results of the research are available free – just click here to download our Twitter benchmarking report. If you’d like more information about how we analysed the data, including the clicks they are achieving, or would like some advice on how to make your Twitter campaign more successful, please send me an email.
