OK, now I believe that the recovery is real! Electronics Sourcing is talking about re-starting publication of Electronics Assembly magazine, a title that they suspended just over a year ago. We understand that the plan would be to publish on a quarterly basis initially, with the first issue appearing just before productronica.
The electronics manufacturing sector in the UK has seen their print media disappear or merge over the last couple of years, so it’s not surprising that a publisher has spotted an opportunity.
We understand that the circulation data has been maintained on a frequent basis, so there are few barriers to re-starting publication. Personally I’m delighted to hear that there is a chance of this publication re-appearing, I’m sure that there is a an audience who would be keen to receive the magazine and I hope that there is sufficient advertising support to allow the project to get off the ground.
