The organisers of PCIM have announced that there will be a special focus area of the exhibition for energy storage. Will battery technology becoming increasingly important for many different applications, this is a great move and will complement the papers on energy storage that will be presented at the conference.

PCIM isn’t the only show reporting good news: I also heard that productronica has 100 more exhibitors that 2011 signed up, and many of these are new exhibitors. It’s great to see that – in Germany, at least – shows continue to be a strong marketing channel.
