Sadly I’ve been told that issue 6 of rf&wireless will be the last edition as Beam Verlag reorganises their publication roster. It’s sad to see a publication go, but I’m pleased that the company’s German title, HF-Praxis, will continue publication on a monthly basis. Pan-European publishing is a real challenge, so I’m disappointed but not surprised that Beam have decided to call it a day. Although rf&wireless targeted the hot RF market, it appears that there simply wasn’t the advertising revenue to sustain the publication profitably.
At the same time we’ve also got to say goodbye to the lovely Stephanie Schlerf, who is leaving her marketing role at Beam to move to Australia at the end of October. Vanessa Dengler is the new contact for English-speaking advertisers.
